Programs
We offer Soo Bahk Do and Therapeutic Martial Arts programs for Families, Adults, and Youth.
Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan
Soo Bahk Do is a classical martial art originating in Korea many centuries ago, consisting of both “hard” & “soft” styles; utilizing scientific theory to attain maximum power. We seek not only to prepare students for physical defense but to build character in a safe, non-contact environment.
Moo Duk Kwan is a “brotherhood and school of stopping inner and outer conflict and developing virtue through Soo Bahk Do training”. Our art is deeply connected with the 5 Moo Do Values of History, Tradition, Philosophy, Discipline & Respect, and Technique.
Therapeutic Martial Arts (TMA)
TMA is martial arts movement, mindfulness training, and meditation practice all in one.
Participants integrate the physical, emotional, spiritual, relationship, and intellectual aspects of health as part of the healing process. TMA provides a pathway to achieving balance by incorporating body, mind, spirit, and relationship work into a group learning experience.
Participants will engage in nine types of exercises- Meditation, Mindfulness Prompts, Breathing, Integrated Breathing and Movement, Balancing, Flexibility and Strengthening, Endurance, Partner Exercises, and Homework. Training is individualized to abilities and needs.
